The Story Behind Well Within Skin and Laser Center
Well Within shares an office space with Manatee Gynecology where Dr. Desai and many members of our team treat patients. Dr. Desai wanted to give women an opportunity to receive a range of self-care and facial aesthetics while at Manatee Gynecology. It’s hard enough juggling multiple different responsibilities. Running back and forth to various appointments and offices can add an extra layer of stress. Well Within was opened to help make life easier on you.

Hi, I’m Beth Connolly Christensen – born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Orange, California, just 10 minutes from Disneyland. Growing up, my home was always full of visitors, fueling my love for hospitality that I bring to everything I do, especially in my work. Beauty has been in my blood since childhood, when I started with my first client—Barbie! From haircuts to fashion tips, I quickly built a loyal clientele by 15, and never looked back.
Though my parents encouraged me to “get a degree in something,” I followed my passion and became a nurse, counselor, and eventually a licensed Cosmetologist with certifications in medical aesthetics. Raising my three beautiful daughters remains my greatest achievement, but helping you feel your best is my ultimate goal. I live by balance – good diet, exercise, sleep, and a little neurotoxin or filler go a long way. Come see me, and let’s make beauty part of your lifestyle!
NURSE PRACTITIONER AND HEALTH COACH
Hey everyone! I’m Sammie. I was born and raised right here in Manatee County—a true local! I’m a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping patients look and feel their very best from the inside out. While my background is in women’s health, I also specialize in medical weight loss, wellness optimization, longevity, laser treatments, and body composition analysis. I love partnering with patients to create personalized treatment plans that improve both their health and confidence.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Florida State University. With over 10 years in healthcare, my greatest passion is empowering patients to take control of their health and invest in themselves through education, prevention, and evidence-based care.
When I’m not caring for patients, you’ll find me spending time with my wonderful husband and our two children, Savannah and Rett. As a Florida native, I love being outdoors, soaking up the sunshine, and making memories with my family.
Medical Aesthetician
With over 20 years of experience in dermatology and plastic surgery, I bring advanced clinical expertise and a results-driven approach to every treatment I perform at Well Within Skin & Laser. As a medical aesthetician, I specialize in corrective skincare, customized treatment plans, and medical-grade skincare to help my patients achieve healthy, beautiful skin.
I believe healthy skin begins from within and am passionate about combining science-backed treatments with personalized education. I take the time to understand each patient’s unique concerns and create customized treatment plans designed to deliver lasting results while empowering you to care for your skin confidently at home.
My goal is to make every treatment both effective and relaxing, helping you feel confident, refreshed, and radiant while providing the highest level of personalized care.
Outside of the treatment room, I enjoy staying active through health and fitness, keeping up with the latest research on longevity and wellness, and spending time with my family—including my beloved Goldendoodle, Jasper.

I’m a Florida girl who gets to work with my best friends, is happily married, and am a proud mom of four beautiful children who definitely keep life interesting – and loud!
